The 8th Travel Sketchbook Market will be held on Friday, November 16th, 2018.

Whether you are a publisher searching for travel sketchbook artists or an author bringing a project, this market will give you the chance to meet the people you need!

What is the Travel Sketchbook Market?

It is a meeting area allowing exchanges between specialised publishers and authors with a project. The aim is to support sketchbook publishing and to bring all those involved together.

The Market takes place within the festival, but in a specific area.

It is not necessary to exhibit in the Rendez-vous du Carnet de Voyage to participate in the Market, however an application is required. Appointments are made in advance by the Il Faut Aller Voir team.

Who is the Travel Sketchbook Market intended for?

– For authors with a project who wish to meet publishers in order to have their travel sketchbooks or narratives published.

– For publishers interested in publishing travel sketchbooks or narratives.

How to apply ?

Publishing grants

The organisation wished to enrich the content of the “Travel Sketchbook Market” so they created 2 grants in 2012, with the support of Clermont Auvergne Métropole: a publishing grant and a translation grant.

In 2017, two publications received grants:

– Voyages d’un peintre japonais en Europe by Kazuya Morimoto, Akinomé editions
– Palimpseste / un tour de France by Vito, Nomades editions
