DIGITAL TRAVEL SKETCHBOOK PRIZE

Every year the Il Faut Aller Voir organisation together with VIDEOFORMES, a video art and digital culture festival award the Digital Travel Sketchbook Prize.

The association Il Faut Aller Voir offers a space to alternative forms of travel stories. The objective of this proposal is to give full legitimacy to hybrid formats that explore the richness of the borders between documentary and artistic, between the experience of travel and its sharing.
In partnership with the VIDEOFORMES Association, which has been supporting an annual festival of digital creations in Clermont-Ferrand for more than thirty years, the Rendez-vous du Carnet de Voyage will propose to an artist or a collective of artists, to invest a space that will be dedicated for his/their work.

The space provided will have the configuration of a room (9m2 maximum), with at least three walls and a power supply, so as to put the visitor in an immersion in his work, unlike the conventional stands which incite him more to a wandering.

The artist or collective of artists must obtain by himself all the materials and equipment necessary for the installation of his work, and must be present throughout the festival (if it is a collective of artists, a representative must be present).

THEME

The achievements presented in this competition must be linked to the discovery of a territory in time and space, whether personal or geographical (France and foreign countries).
The travel journal must be an original, personal and authentic creation. The creations can be presented in French or English.
